While Obama searches for an ass to kick……….. Crayola has taken a proactive step and come up with a new Gulf Coast BP Edition of its famous crayons to help the youth in South Louisiana adjust to the new realities of our changing coastline. Now the kids can draw realistic pictures of the coast with authentic colors like Tar Beach Black and Brown Pelican Black (there is a subtle difference). While the colors are accurate, Crayola did drop it original plan to include accurate scratch and sniff aroma to the color box. “We could get an accurate Tar Beach Black smell but the rotting fish and dead sea turtles kept smelling like bad eggs. Besides, it did not test well with the sample group.” Also dropped from this collection were some of the more conceptual colors like Invisible Tourist Clear, Unemployed Fisherman Pinkslip and Federal Government Red Tape.
